Latest Lagoon Enhancements at Epperson

Metro Places unveiled one of the nation’s first Crystal Lagoons at Epperson in 2018. Since that time, the Metro team has dedicated itself to making enhancements that make it an unparalleled amenity beyond what most other master planned communities offer.

A hand-selected, dedicated team focused on enriching lifestyles by programming a robust events calendar – designed with residents in mind, but for the enjoyment of all – makes the Lagoon the heartbeat of the community. From movie and trivia nights to seasonal celebrations, fitness classes, and regular entertainment, the opportunities to connect with neighbors and like-minded individuals are endless. Because for Metro, it’s about providing all the elements for a great life ™.

And for residents looking for inspired Lagoonside fare, we’re excited to announce new dining options at the Reef Café this summer as part of a partnership with one of the Tampa Bay area’s most exciting restaurant and hospitality groups. Seasoned chefs with delicious menu items and a focus on local sourcing will help reimagine the Lagoon dining experience with a variety of rotating, seasonal selections.

Metro is set to open two more of its next-generation Crystal Lagoons this year, complemented by the same level of programming and events enjoyed at Epperson. Residents at Southshore Bay in southern Hillsborough County (Wimauma) and Brightwater in north Fort Myers can look forward to five acres of crystal clear blue water for swimming, kayaking, or simply relaxing. A third 15-acre Lagoon at Mirada in Pasco County is also underway.

Never been to the Lagoon? Take a personal, guided tour to better understand the value of Lagoon living. And don’t forget to register for updates and additional information.
