Metro’s commitment to excellence extends beyond its Crystal Lagoons and advanced technologies. At Epperson, residents benefit from a state-of-the-art K-8 tuition-free charter school right in their backyard. The Innovation Preparatory Academy (InPrep) opened in August 2020 based on the WISH curriculum, which is focused on developing the whole child through forward-thinking, technology-based, innovative learning models focused on science, health and wellness. The village environment allows students to benefit from more personalized attention thanks to multiple core teachers and support specialists in the classroom.

“Our integrated approach to learning and technology is really in alignment with Metro,” says InPrep Principal Sara Capwell. “The collaborative effort of Metro and Charter Schools USA to be successful was to create the school for 2030 that empowers students to become career-ready, lifelong learners. Thanks to Metro, the foundation is there for us to continuously evolve alongside advancements in technology and our shared commitment to excellence.”  

InPrep expects to reach close to full enrollment at every grade level for the 2021-2022 school year, a sign of the value residents place on the school’s enrichment offerings, health and stem courses, and collaborative, supportive environment.
