Metro Places is now offering even faster internet speeds of 500Mb/500Mb for residents in nine of its Tampa Bay area residential communities.

The enhancement has taken what was already a best-in-class system, with speeds of 400Mb/400Mb, to a new level. With the new ULTRAFi 500Mb/500Mb speeds, a household can stream ultra-HD video on up to 20 devices simultaneously, and can download an entire music album in 1 second, an HD movie in about 1 minute, or a 4K ultra-HD quality movie in around 5 minutes. The upgrade is complimentary to residents, with no extra costs.

The team at Metro Development Group, the developer behind Metro Places, knows that home internet speed and reliability count more than ever. Families depend on their home’s internet technology to do everything from taking online classes, to doing telehealth visits, to conducting work video calls, to streaming movies.

In addition to using more bandwidth as family members go online, more and more homes are using “smart home” technology, which also can impact internet speeds and quality of service.

“The pandemic has only highlighted the importance of rapid, reliable internet access without disruptions,” said John Afflebach, marketing director of Metro Development Group. “For many people, the home has also become a workplace, a school and, in many instances, the entertainment hub.”

The nine Tampa Bay area communities with this enhanced ULTRAFi service are: Abbott Park, Epperson, Mirada and Union Park in Pasco County; Park Creek, Sereno, Southshore Bay and Waterleaf in Hillsborough County; and Villages at Glen Creek in Manatee County.

The new ULTRAFi offering is included in homeowner HOA fees, with the option to upgrade from the base package to One Gigabit at home for an extra $60 plus tax per month.

Metro Development Group aims to consistently look for ways to stay at the forefront of innovation, technology, and connectivity for residents.
